Our Mission is to build the power necessary to dismantle systemic racism and economic exploitation, ensuring that Black workers thrive, not just survive, in the workplace and the broader economy.
Vision
Our Vision is for Black workers in Peoria to live with dignity, controlling the full value of their labor while embracing their culture. By fostering community empowerment and solidarity, we aim to transform workplaces and the local economy through organizing, advocacy and policy change.
Purpose
The Black community in Peoria has a large gap in statistics for high school graduation rates, unemployment, poverty and is also in a public health crisis. Our purpose is to bridge the gaps that racial systemic issues create in the Black American community. We want to give the chances that are deserved to the Black community with the support they need to achieve that goal.
